I have decided...
Baptism is a big step in the life of a beliver, it is the outward expression of an inward comittment. Here at The Potter's House of Fort Worth, we want to make sure that you are prepared and fully know the reasons and meanings behind Baptism before the event itsself.
When do Baptisms take place?
Baptisms take place every First Sunday of the month before our 9AM service.
Do I need to attend a class?
Yes! In order to be a candidate for Baptism, you must attend a Baptism Class that takes place the Wednesday prior to the first Sunday of the month. Classes begin at 6PM.
What should I wear?
Baptism Class is a casual encounter. But the Baptism itsself will require a change of clothing, as we fully immerse the candidate into water. More details will be shared at the Baptism Class.
Why be Baptized?
Scripture is clear that Baptism isn't only a good idea, but a major focus of the lifestyle of a Believer in Jesus. While the water may not hold any magic or mystery, the symbolizations speak volumes. Baptism is the outward expression of an inward commitment.
Scripture likens Baptism to us being buried with Christ and raised with Him in new life.
“Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” - Romans 6:3-4
